Hethel and Curborough Results!
Two events on Sunday, firstly a new round at Hethel. Neal in SB, James in 1C2WD and Andrew in 1F all took class wins and all set the new records! Meanwhile at Curborough, after a wet morning the sun made a surprise appearance for what became a hot afternoon. In 1A Andrew took 3rd with Richard 4th. Anthony took the class win in 1C2WD and I took the class win in 1E2WD. In 1F David took the class win and bonus points, missing the record by 0.01! In 2A John took the class win with David 2nd. In 3B Andy took the class win and broke the record. In 5D Richard took the class win.
With only 5 rounds to go (and only 1 hill left), it’s close for the top spots. James has moved above Will in the battle of the brothers in 3rd but he has to get a score at Shelsey as he currently only has 1 hill score. Neal is 2nd and could still be caught but James needs a good score at Shelsey. Andrew’s lead is now almost untouchable as he is one score off the perfect 8.
There are still plenty of battles left for top ten spots. For the Sprint award Anthony, James and Will are all contention, although if either of the latter finish top 3 they can’t win the Sprint award. On the hills John S has a good lead but could still be caught by Craig S. John S is also currently leading the consistency, although we have several people not at 8 yet who could yet catch him.
Please note this is all subject to appeals, corrections and final results :).
