There was alot of action in the MSC this weekend with 4 events. We had a big entry at Gurston. On Saturday Will took the SB class and record with Ian in 3rd. In 1B Ian took the record and 3rd place. In 1C2WD Jeremy took 2nd. In 1E2WD I took 2nd. In a packed 2A John and Graham took joint 2nd with identical times! In an equally packed 2B Keith took 3rd with Thomas 4th and Simon 5th. In 3A Julian took the bonus and 2nd place with Adele 3rd. In 3C Andrew took 2nd with Alison 3rd. In 3F Cragi took the bonus and 2nd place. John won 3G and broke the record. In 4A Steve took the class win. On Sunday the weather improved and so did most peoples times. Will kept his good form to break the record again in SB on the way to the class win. Roger took 3rd place in 1A. Ian took 3rd place and bonus points in 1B. Jeremy took 2nd in 1C2WD. I took the class win and bonus points in 1E2WD. The 2A battle continued with John taking the class win and the record with Graham taking 2nd. In 2B Thomas pipped Keith to 3rd with Simon 5th. In 3A Julian again took 2nd with the bonus. In 3C Andrew was 2nd with Alison 3rd. In 3F Craig took 3rd but lowered the record further. In 3G John took the win and the bonus. Steve took the class win in 4A.
Meanwhile at Snetterton we had a small entry but records fell. Neal took the class win and set the record in SB. David broke the record in 2A and took the class win. Stephen came 2nd in 3B and lowered the record. Steve took the class win and bonus in 4E. On Sunday Neal repeated the feat, lowering the record further on the way to the class win. David lowered the record again whilst winning 2A. Stephen took 2nd in 3B and again lowered the record. Finally Steve took the 4E win and the bonus.
All of that means that the top 3 remain unchanged but Neal has pulled out a small gap on Ian, with Will now right behind Ian in 3rd. It will still go down to the last few events, particularly Blyton where all three are out.
