Curborough Results!

The final two rounds took place at Curborough this weekend! Please be aware that ALL competitors have until the end of October to review the results and request any corrections/amendments before we publish the award winners.

On Saturday it was two laps of Curborough.  In class SB Neal took the class win and broke the record. In class 1D Alasdair took the class win. In class 1F David and John battled together with John taking the class win and bonus points with David in 2nd. Simon came 3rd in 2B. In 3A Nick and Julian both scored good points in a packed class. In 3C Anthony took the class win. In 4A David took 2nd with Stephen 3rd. In 4E Steve took the class win. In 5A Stuart took 2nd but lowered his own record further.

On Sunday it was the figure of 8 layout. In SB Neal again took the class win and bonus points. Terry took the class win in 1C2WD and bonus points. Alasdair took the class win in 1D. In 1F David turned the tables on John, taking the win and breaking the record. John came 2nd. In 3C Anthony took the class win. In 4A David took 2nd but broke the record, with Stephen in 3rd. In 4E Steve took the class win.  Mike took bonus points and scored well in a huge Formula Ford class.

All of this means our top 3 remain unchanged. We will formally announce all of the winners after the window closes for challenges, but congratulations to all of our competitors and overall/class winners. It’s been a great season, with the highest score ever required to just break into the top ten which shows the quality of our contenders this season. For Neal, Will and Ian the champagne will remain on ice until the confirmation but congratulations to all three for making a brilliant and compelling championship.
