Loton Results!

With 29 MSC contenders in action Saturday and 32 on Sunday it was packed field. It was also graced with good weather but the targets at Loton are probably some of the toughest so it didn’t lead to a spate of records.

On Saturday in SB Stuart took the class win with Alex in 2nd. In 1B Martin took the win with Marie in 2nd. In 1C2WD Drew took the class win with Mike in 2nd. In a very packed 1D Duncan took the win and bonus points with Hugh finishing 2nd, Matthew, Mary and David all scored good points. In 1E2WD Nigel took 2nd. In a busy 2A Simon took the win from Jez who both got bonus points. Graham and John also scored good points. In 2B Martin pinched the win from Lars and took bonus points. Thomas scored good points. In 3A Nick took the class win with Julian pipping Dave to 2nd. In 3B Paul took 3rd place. In 3F Graham pipped Craig. In 4A David finished 2nd with Stephen picking up good points. In 4C Nigel took the win and set the class record. In 5A Martin took 2nd place.

On Sunday in SB Stuart improved to win and take bonus points with Alex 2nd. In 1B Martin took 1st but Marie was pushed down to 3rd. In 1C2WD Drew also improved to take bonus points with Mike again in 2nd. In 1D Pete turned up to take the class win and lower the record further (sub 60!), pushing Duncan down to 2nd (who also lowered the record) and Hugh 3rd. Matthew, Mary and David again all scored good points. In 1E2WD Nigel took 2nd again. In 1F David finished 3rd. In 2A it was tight again but Simon went even quicker to break the record with Jez in 2nd. Graham and John posted identical times to finish joint 3rd (doesn’t happen often!). In 2B it was Lar’s turn to pinch the win from Martin, both taking bonus points. Thomas also scored well again. In 3A it was as you were, with Nick taking the win, Julian 2nd and Dave 3rd. Paul again took 3rd in 3B. In 3F Graham beat Craig again in there season long battle! In 4A David took 2nd place with Stephen scoring good points. In 5A Martin took 3rd place. In 5C Chris took 2nd place with Keith scoring good points.

All of this mean Pete extends his lead over Davie heading into the final 4 rounds. Stuart still rounds out our top 3. Davie needs events to try and bridge the gap. We’ve got battles over the classes as well with places up for grabs in our busier classes 1B, 1D and 2A in particular. You are also going to need one of the highest scores we’ve seen to make the Championship top ten with the last few places being tight!

Please note the Consistency scores have NOT been updated since July Gurston and I will update in due course.

As usual any queries let me know.
